Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM ISDL Intern Software Engineer position for a student entails him/her to work on design/development, testing and support of Systems products wholly or partly designed in India including Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software, Cloud Software.
In this role:
1.Product Development: Regarding the way your tasks will be planned and arranged, you will be dedicated towards growth of IBM Systems products and will be communicating with development &product management teams and end users irrespective of their location.
2.Requirement Analysis: You will be involved in systems analysis of product requirements and then define the lines of the best design to follow, code and test products right from the development phase up to the testing phase.
3.Validation and Support: You could also provide input into the validation and support of IBM Systems products offering the best of the lot.
4.Collaboration: It means you will work with the bright, culturally matched, and highly skilled people delivering the best products and deployment environments to provide outstanding user experience to customers.
5.Growth Opportunities: This will result in more workplace contributions, higher organizational value and access to wider roles’ in a firm that is expanding in size.
Technical and Professional Requirement
- Programming Languages: In Java, Python, Go Lang, C/C++.
- Frameworks and Libraries: For training, the students were exposed to AI, React. js, Angular. js.
- Scripting Languages: Technological literacy especially in Python or any other scripting language will be an added advantage.
- Operating Systems: To participate in a Linux shell, a person should be aware of basic Linux Commands .
- Storage Concepts: Fundamental knowledge of storage ideas.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Cloud solution, especially relating to mastering the cloud infrastructure ( Server, Network, Storage) for product /app development.
- Version Control Systems: Experience working with version control systems, such as, Git, Rational Team Concert.
- Automated & Continuous Delivery: Bash scripting experience Can write unit test, can define, ability to trigger automated build, test and run.
